Slow Cooker Vanilla Custard
Ingredients
- • 1/3 cup of granulated sugar
- • 1 egg, lightly whisked
- • ½ cup of low fat milk
- • 1 ½ cups of evaporated milk
- • 2 egg yolks
- • 1 teaspoon of vanilla bean paste
Instructions
- Combine the evaporated and low fat milk in a saucepan then bring them to a simmer for 4 min on medium heat.
- Stir in the vanilla paste then whisk the eggs with sugar in a bowl and add to them the hot milk gradually while whisking all the time.
- Pour the custard in 4 ramekins and cover them with a paper foil then pour some hot water in the slow cooker and place in it the ramekins.
- Cover the pot and cook the custard for 1 h 45 min on high.
- Once the time is up, burn the custard to have a crusty top then allow them to cool down for 15 min before serving.
